Alchemist Week 5

Alright, on this weeks episode of Adventures in Net Narr, we learned about the power of the selfie. This generation definitely reveres the selfie. There is a sacred process that involves the composition of a selfie and deeming its "post-ability."
Step 1: Prep- think about your mood and what message you'd like to convey with this picture, because we all know, selfies are more than just a picture, theyre a reflection of you--your attitude-- what you want people to see you as.
Step 2: Tryouts- You take a bunch of pictures with different poses and faces, and accumulate a satisfactory collection to choose from.
Step 3: First Draft Picks- You literally DRAFT your pictures, figure out and narrow down which ones youre feeling and 86 the ones you aren't.
Step 4: Send them to the Groupchat For the Stamp of approval. I  do this faithfully, its part of the ritual. I     send my picks of pics to my best friend and we agree on which one is the best , because she has an understandin…

Alchemist Blog Week 7

GIFs however you pronounce them (gif, gif, I   choose simply to spell the phrase out in conversation, because its such a controversial topic) are, next to memes, the funniest internet phenomenon. Its more than a meme, but less than a video, creating the perfect medium to engage an attention span that may be shorter than most (like mine). GIFs are fun, to make and easy to communicate. If you don't watch America's Next Top Model, you may be unfamiliar with the reference.
The activity we worked on in class this week as Alchemists was definitely interesting and engaging. However, creating a GIF of your own can be very challenging but the end result was satisfactory. I   learned that GIFs are not only inclusive of video clips, but you can create a GIF from a pic…

Blog Week6

My blog is a little late but its here ! The DDA's this week definitely were fun to do. The numbers one made me more aware of the things that I'd usually overlook.  As kids i    think we notice more palindromes and fun things to do with numbers (like when you look at the time and the numbers are the same date as your birthday. ) Even though the DDA included and required the use of social media , it really made me look at real life as well. I    thought I    was really cool.

Looking at all of the Gifs online made me laugh hard. this is by far my favorite one ( because I    LOVE Tyra Banks and America's Next Top Model
